Holi is a Hindu celebration involving coloured powders and water, feasts and dancing to mark the arrival of spring and the divine love between deities Radha and Krishna. The festival usually falls in March, starting on the evening of the Purnima (full moon day) which falls within the Hindu calendar month of Phalguna. Indians hope for a good harvest and fertility during this festival, celebrating the triumph of good over evil.
