A note from the composer:
Two folkdance tunes came to me whilst laid out with Covid in the winter of 2022, and it helped to pass the time to do something with them. I researched a number of possible texts, but The Holly and the Ivy insisted on settling itself in my mind, so I relented and created this new setting. It remains a folkdance-like in style, and light-hearted in spirit, with something for all the voices to enjoy.
