A note from the composer:
We will remember them came about through a request from a local primary school for a simple song for their choir to sing at a remembrance service, eventually being sung for Princess Alexandra on her visit to their local church. I decided to include the last post which is synonymous with the act of remembrance in the piece, and this rings out over those familiar words taken from Binyon’s famous poem. This piece is dedicated to all those who gave their lives for our freedom: a debt that can never be repaid.
